I’m so proud and honored to share this case study featuring a collaborative partnership between Joyful Spaces and The Data Coach. Our work together not only demonstrated the positive impact Joyful Spaces has had on the local community, but also readied the program to continue its journey towards insightful evaluations in the future.

Joyful Spaces provides education and training for educators and youth-serving professionals, including LGBTQIA+ inclusivity training and Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) Support. Our partnership focused on two goals: first, to uncover insights from untapped feedback data; and second, to redesign their data-collection surveys to better align with programming goals. The findings revealed high praise for the program director’s facilitation skills, insightful comments regarding workshop content, and ideas for future programming. Also, the new data collection tools ensure that program staff receive the exact feedback they need to continue aligning programming content to the community’s needs and interests.
